It’s the loudest sound ever to be heard.
The biggest word ever spoken.
Yet, it never yells, never gets angry, and it never speaks back.
Its echoes can fill up the air. Its whispers, so itchy in your ears.
Like water, it navigates deep into your soul, leaving a mark and a message so unmistakable, it can’t go unnoticed.
You might try to ignore its whispers,
Scratch away its itchiness in your ears,
Disregard its calling.
But after you recognise its existence,
hear its loud and mighty sound, you can’t be oblivious to it.
It will bother and unsettle you.
You will wish it were less resonant.
You might try every which way to read its expressionless face, even yield into its presence.
But, ALAS!!
You heard it, you recognised it, it spoke to the core of your heart.
I love reading; the smell of books is as intoxicating as my favourite perfume, and for me, writers are magicians. I also love traveling. Show me the way, and I will hit the road.
During the 2020 lockdown, with much time on our hands, I started writing about my travels–I have lived and visited several countries worldwide.
While writing, the story kept building up. In every piece I wrote, I found myself having more to say.
I self-published my first book, Beyond the Threshold... Into Self-discovery in 2021. And that's when I realised I have a passion for writing.
While at it I thought, why not give romance a chance?
